One of my biggest inspirations is film, and for this piece in particular,Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. The scene in which the ghosts of the twins stand eerily at the end of the hall. Here I wanted to explore the idea of sisterhood and finding comfort in those who look similar to you and the kinship that can grow from having a similar background or culture. There is strength in numbers and in community this is a celebration of that and the power it possesses.
